Conference Object The Effect of Job Satisfaction and Self-Efficacy to The Intrapreneurial Behaviors(Future Academy, 2019) Soran, Semih; Sesen, Harun; Guven, BurcuOrganizations need to constantly make innovations due to the rapid changes in the political, economic, technological and social areas. In this sense, entrepreneurship is one of the concepts that have become more valuable in recent times. Since those which cannot manage to change might lose their competitive advantages and hence organizational effectiveness, the organizations should act as an entrepreneur, discover and employ the individuals having high entrepreneurial spirit and establish a new organizational environment to promote intrapreneurship. Today, the intrapreneurship is now essential for both private and public bodies and agencies. The citizenry who are habituated to the innovative services provided by private firms expect the same services and modern approaches from public institutions. Therefore, public service providers should also reveal the entrepreneurial qualifications of their personnel. In this context, intrapreneurial employees play critical roles in organizational change and development. 175 information technology managers from various businesses have participated in this research. Data were analysed with correlation and regression analysis. The results showed that job satisfaction and self-efficacy are quite effective to explain intrapreneurial behaviours of technology managers. Huseyin; Kurtoglu, AhmetThis study was conducted to analyze the structure of Turkey's wood products industry and to suggest ways to improve the country's competitive position in global markets. The 415 largest solid wood manufacturers were surveyed using questionnaires administered in personal interviews and by mail. Results reveal that forest product enterprises are geographically clustered in a few provinces. Thirteen percent of respondents are using outdated technology while 63% are using relatively new technology and 24% are using advanced technology. The 2001 economic crisis seriously affected the wood products industry with a 38% decrease in the number of employees and a number of shuttered facilities. Overall, the research indicates that the Turkish forest products industry is fragmented and is experiencing a number of obstacles to further development. Turkey has an established but generally inefficient forest products industry. This article gives an overview of the sector and offers recommendations for improvement. Results from this study can be useful to manufacturers and policy makers in Turkey and other countries with similar industry structures in short and long-term sectoral planning and development.Conference Object Happiness and Intention to Leave of Z Generation in Terms of Ihrp(Future Acad, 2019) Guler, Nihal; Acar, PinarThe main objective of this research is to reveal the effects of innovative human resources practices (IHRP) on the happiness and intention to leave on Z generation employees. The sample of the study consists of 198 Z generation employees in the banking sector. In our study mixed method (qualitative-quantitative) is adopted. Firstly, the qualitative research design was taken as a model. In this respect, qualitative interviews were conducted with Z generation employees and managers. The face-to-face interviews were conducted with a small sample of 25 subjects. The reason for face-to-face interviews is that participants can freely express themselves without limitation, so that more in-depth data can be collected. Data were categorized by Nvivo 11 qualitative data analysis. In the second part of the mixed method research strategy, the quantitative research method is used to measure the interaction between the variables in our theoretical model. Data were collected from 198 employees by means of survey method and analyzed with SPSS 20 package program. The findings of the study showed that happiness has a mediation effect on innovative human resources practices and intention to leave. ZaferIt is becoming increasingly difficult to manage organizations operating in today's complex global business environment. In particular, to manage the remote employees, who work outside of the physical boundaries of the firms, in accordance with the management principles and through the organizational purposes is considered one of the most challenging area. Despite their constantly growing numbers, the remote employees have been neglected in recent scientific studies. Meanwhile, most of those rare studies have been conducted on the IT industry and its teleworkers. However, it is known that the truck drivers have been working on behalf of a company for years almost never been in the head office. On the other hand, studies on long-distance drivers generally focus on risk factors, job stress and health of drivers. Therefore, it is a significant shortcoming that those employees, who are the critical link of the transportation function of logistics, have not been subjected on to the scientific management and organizational behaviour researches. Thus, the current study aims to eliminate this gap in this issue. This qualitative research study tries to respond above mentioned research gap with the anti-positivist approach. Contrary to the majority of the recent studies, in spite of employees (drivers), the fleet managers of the large-scale land transport companies in the industry have been selected as the unit of analysis. The data obtained from the open-ended interviews were analysed by Nvivo 12 program. The findings of our study were evaluated and discussed from an interpretive and external perspective. (C) 2019 Published by Future Academy www.FutureAcademy.org.ukArticle Production and Marketing Structure of Large Scale Forestry Products Industry Enterprises in Turkey(2011) Aksu, B.; Hüseyin Koç, K.; Kurtoǧlu, A.In Turkey, a country with 21.2 million ha of forest land, it is evident that the processed forest products have not been able to be developed to realize their potential with regards to the exports possibilities. It is obvious that the situation is to the disadvantage of Turkey in terms of the trading equilibrium when the exports and imports figures are examined. According to the results of the research carried out locally with respect to the Turkish Forest Products Industry, the emphasized problems emerge as the misapplication of incentives, the disability to catch up with the technological innovations, problems regarding raw material quality, undercapitalization, lack of qualified personnel, etc. By the help of this study which had been planned to cover the whole Turkish Forest Products Industry; the target is to reveal the structural situations of the large scale businesses in Turkey in the first few years of the 20th century, where modern management principles are assumed to be applied. The research had been finalized with the comments made upon the results of the questionnaires gathered through mostly faceto-face interviews with 415 large scale forest product firms where it was assumed that contemporary management principles and technological developments were applied relatively easier. As the questionnaire study was applied by the researchers themselves directly, it was also supported through observations. © 2011 Academic Journals.
