An Analysis of Airports’ Sustainability Promotion Activities on Instagram through Content Analysis Method

This study evaluates how airports in Türkiye communicate sustainability-related activities on Instagram by applying content analysis within the framework of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The results indicate that airports post content related to the SDGs, but they mostly focus on economic and operational topics, especially SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), which emphasizes digital advancements, new services, and infrastructure improvements. Airports display environmental themes, albeit in limited and uneven ways. From a strategic innovation perspective, airports tend to signal sustainability primarily through modernization and efficiency narratives rather than comprehensive environmental transformation. Accordingly, airport operators should move beyond symbolic messaging by communicating measurable environmental targets, actions, and outcomes on Instagram. © 2026 by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. Anime Narratives and 3D CG Aesthetics

TV anime’s reliance on 2D-limited animation techniques was born in the 1960s out of budgetary constraints, but since then it has been embraced as a defining feature, especially in shōnen (boys) anime. This genre famously features protagonists who perform miraculous actions with unpredictable outcomes, the details of which can be conveniently left unvisualized under the guise of stylistic omission. Today, however, as 3D modeling and animation techniques are integrated more and more visibly into the animation pipeline, the relatively easier portrayal of seamless physical performance as spectacle may conflict with the mystery of how the shōnen hero operates. This chapter seeks to determine whether the concept of “3D anime” is plausible and how the shōnen anime narrative remains animeesque in terms of causal ambiguity. © Cambridge University Press & Assessment 2024.
An Approach to Predicting the Effect of Shadows from Surrounding Buildings on the Performance of Solar Photovoltaic

For a photovoltaic system in an urban building, building shadow occlusion is an often-encountered problem, photovoltaic array covered area will change with time, resulting in the photovoltaic array output volt-ampere performance curve being also different with time. With the engineering analytical model of silicon solar cells, the series-parallel of electrical circuits theory, and the solar Angle change formula, an approach to predicting the effect of shadows from surrounding buildings on the performance of solar photovoltaics is established. The simulation results show the difference of the PV array’s I-V and P-V performance curves with periods. An actual test is carried out for the completed photovoltaic project with building shadow occlusion, and the comparison with Matlab simulation I-V and P-V performance curve proves the predicting model can describe the output performance of the PV array with building shadow occlusion. © (2025), (Gazi Universitesi). Art as an Apparatus of the Invisible Sublime in Severance

With its cold color scheme, large empty spaces, and references to minimalist painters as well as the uncanny landscapes of Edward Hopper, the show uses modernist aesthetics to underline the solitary nature of the individual. Artificial Intelligence in Quality Control and Product Development

Product development and continuous improvement have become a high priority for the chemical industry due to factors such as increasing competition, new technologies, more demanding customers, greater product variety, and shorter product life cycles. The increasing pressure on product development has led chemical companies to evaluate the stages of the product development process carefully. In product development, preparation and technical analysis are particularly critical. The knowledge and experience gained in the preparation phase can eliminate risky and costly activities in the later stages of the process. In addition, the testing and evaluation phases are critical elements that can provide meaningful feedback before commercialization. Another issue that chemical manufacturers work on, both for new and existing products, is quality control (QC). Manufacturers need to ensure that the product’s quality meets customer expectations. Making QC processes more efficient is one of the issues the industry has been working on for a long time. Therefore, using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in product development and QC has become inevitable. McKinsey asserted that the implementation of AI has the potential to enhance market fit by up to 50%, achieve product performance improvements ranging from 15 to 60%, attain up to 50% increased workplace productivity, and facilitate a reduction in time to market of up to 40%. Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Ethics in Educational Processes: Solution Suggestions and Results

Artificial intelligence is a technology used to imitate the human-like thinking and decision-making abilities of computer systems. This technology enables computers to perform complex tasks such as data analysis, learning, problem solving and decision making. It is used in the field of education as well as in every field. While the use of artificial intelligence in the field of education provides advantages such as providing personalized learning experiences to students, providing teachers with intuition about student performance and developing educational materials, the ethical dimension should not be ignored. Therefore, the aim of this study is to produce solutions to ethical problems in the teaching and evaluation processes of artificial intelligence technologies in education. Qualitative research method was used in this study. It has adopted the phenomenological research approach among qualitative research methods. The concept of phenomenon is also the ethics of artificial intelligence. The working group consists of teachers, educational technologists and academicians. When selecting the working group, it was taken into consideration that there were teachers who use artificial intelligence applications in education and academics and technologists working in this field. Document analysis and focus group interviews were used as data collection tools. Content analysis was performed on the data obtained. According to the results of the study, ethical problems encountered with the use of artificial intelligence in education were identified and solution suggestions were offered.
Artificial Intelligence: A New Paradigm for Leadership

Authoritarian Neoliberalism and Resistance in Turkey Construction, Consolidation, and Contestation Introduction

While capitalism has been associated with democracy for a long time, the neoliberalisation that has coincided with the rise of populism and authoritarian resurgence in the global context demands further inquiry into the relationship between capital accumulation and political regimes. The growing literature on authoritarian neoliberalism examines the relationship between authoritarian governance and neoliberalisation, and interrogates how neoliberal reforms buttress the legal, administrative, and coercive power of states, creating leverage for ruling governments to enhance authoritarian forms of governance. While these studies highlight the vulnerability of these regimes and emphasise their crisis-laden character, there is a need for an extensive analysis of the dynamics of resistance in authoritarian neoliberal regimes to understand the limits and potentials of counter-hegemonic practices. Using in-depth case studies, this book demonstrates the repertoires of resistance against authoritarian neoliberalism in Turkey and discusses how different sections of society, including NGOs, bureaucrats, media, workers, marginalised communities and activists, challenge or reinforce neoliberal policies with their claims, tactics, strategies, and discourses. Borsa Istanbul as an Inflation Hedge: A Post-COVID Perspective

This study delves into the intricate relationship between inflation and stock prices on Borsa Istanbul, with a particular focus on the turbulent post-COVID-19 era. While traditional assets like real estate have historically served as reliable inflation hedges, the emergence of Borsa Istanbul as a potential alternative warrants investigation, especially during the period 2019-2023. To assess the effectiveness of the Turkish stock market as an inflation hedge, we employ a rigorous econometric framework that extends beyond broad market indices to examine sector-specific responses. By adopting a Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, we capture the dynamic interplay between inflation and stock returns. Our analysis incorporates a comprehensive set of macroeconomic control variables spanning the period 2006Q1-2023Q4 and utilizes robust estimation techniques to account for potential structural breaks induced by the COVID-19 pandemic and unconventional economic policies. The primary objective of this study is to determine whether Borsa Istanbul stocks constitute an effective inflation hedge. In essence, our results suggest that the Turkish equity market has served as a safe haven for investors during inflationary periods. A deeper understanding of the relationship between inflation and equity markets is crucial for investors, policymakers, and financial market participants seeking to comprehend and manage inflation risks in emerging economies. In this context the study contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence on the inflation hedging capabilities of Borsa Istanbul stocks, particularly in the context of recent economic and geopolitical upheavals. © 2025, Econjournals. Brand Emphasis in the Avengers Movies: Anatomy of Sequels and Product Placement

In cinema screenplays, commercial success takes precedence with the aim of appealing to broad audiences. Additionally, the character identifications within the script and messages placed within the story for specific purposes aim to fulfill both financial and emotional expectations. Were sequel narratives primarily designed as continuations of the story or were they produced based on audience reception? Furthermore, how is product placement, a part of integrated marketing strategies, utilized in sequel films? In the study, the Avengers series from Marvel Comics was selected as a sample. Product placements were documented in terms of brand/product, scene, time, character, and narrative. Scene examples such as multiple product placements or instances where characters most identified with the products or multiple characters using the same product simultaneously were examined. Causes of Intimate Partner Homicide: Gender Differences in Empathy, Psychopathy, and Perceived Social Support

Objective: Intimate partner homicide (IPH) and attempted murder behaviors have increased in recent years. In addition, the causes of partner murder are affected by gender dynamics. This study aims to determine whether individuals who committed murder and attempted murder toward their partners differ in terms of empathy, psychopathy, and perceived social support and to determine the predictive variables of IPH toward their partners. Method: This study was carried out with a total of 123 participants (73 women and 50 men) from 10 different prisons. Demographic Information Form, Empathic Tendency Scale, Levenson Self-Report Psychopathy Scale, and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support were used. Results: A value of 82.19% of women and 60.97% of men were charged with killing their partners. Of these, 24% of women and 7% of men killed their partners by planning. The psychopathy scores of men (56.92±8.45) were found to be higher than women (52.73±8.98). The results of the logistic regression analysis indicate that the behaviors of women to kill and attempt to kill their partners are best predicted by physical violence from their partner, feelings of jealousy toward their partner, and perceived weak social support from a significant other and family. It was found that the best predictive variable for IPH in men was physical violence against their partners during their relationships. Conclusion: It has been evaluated that having insufficient social support and experiencing physical violence from their partners are associated with IPH among women. This result suggests that women use violence against their partners to protect themselves from violence. On the other hand, the physically violent behaviors of men toward their partners during their relationship are an important variable for IPH. © 2022 Yerkure Tanitim ve Yayincilik Hizmetleri A.S.. Charge and Thermal Transport Properties of Undoped and Doped T L + (IN3 + X22−)− Ternary Dichalcogenides with a Reduced Dimensionality: Perfect Candidates for Thermoelectric Applications in the Mid-Temperature Region

The present work focuses on a comprehensive investigation of charge and thermal transport properties of thallium-indium-based ternary dichalcogenides with a common chemical formula of T l + ( I n 3 + X 2 2 − ) − where X denotes tellurium, selenium or sulfur atoms. Two compounds in the one-dimensional chain form, including pristine TlInSe2 and Fe-doped TlInTe2 as well as a hybrid material constructed from the two-dimensional TlInS2 layered semiconductor diluted with TlFeS2 at % 0.7, have been successfully grown using the Bridgman-Stockbarger technique. X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy measurements were performed to characterize the local structure and chemical composition features of all prepared compounds. A strong anisotropy in the charge-carrier transport properties of the samples was observed from dc - and ac - electrical conductivity measurements made in directions parallel and perpendicular to the layers/chains. This is a fundamental property for realizing high thermoelectric performance in semiconducting materials. As a result, extremely large Seebeck coefficients were revealed upon experimental investigations of the thermoelectric properties of T l + ( I n 3 + X 2 2 − ) − samples over a wide temperature range between ∼100 K and ∼800 K. The first-principles density functional theory (DFT) and Boltzmann transport equations were employed to investigate the thermal transport properties of the compounds studied at the atomic scale. A specific interaction between the thallium cation and the sulfur anion was observed in the DFT computation scheme. The developed interaction (more electrostatic than a much weaker van der Waals one) enhances the charge carrier effective mass via flattening of the electronic bands near the band edges and this can give a new path towards Seebeck coefficient enhancement in the traditional mid-temperature range. © 2024 IOP Publishing Ltd. Comment on “Charged Zipoy-Voorhees Metric in String Theory”

In a recent paper by Yunusov et al. (2025) it is claimed that the charged Zipoy–Voorhees (ZV) metric found in a paper by Gurtug et al. (2022) does not satisfy the Einstein–Maxwell (EM) equations. It is our aim in this comment to show that this claim is invalid. Nevertheless, their stringy EM extension of the ZV metric remains valid. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

Comparing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy for Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder: A Randomized Controlled Trial

Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a chronic condition that often responds well to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), though many patients fail to achieve full remission. Ericksonian Hypnotherapy (EH) has been proposed as a promising alternative. This randomized controlled trial compared the efficacy of CBT and EH against a waitlist control in 99 adults with OCD. Participants received 12 weekly online therapy sessions. Outcomes were assessed at baseline, mid-treatment, and post-treatment using the Padua Inventory-Revised, Yale–Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale–Self-Report (Y-BOCS-SR), and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Both CBT and EH led to large, statistically and clinically significant reductions in OCD symptoms compared to waitlist. CBT was more effective for compulsive behaviors such as washing, while EH produced greater reductions in obsessive rumination and general anxiety. No serious adverse events occurred. These findings suggest that EH is a viable and comparably effective treatment to CBT, with distinct therapeutic benefits. EH may offer a particularly useful option for patients with obsession-dominant symptom profiles or comorbid anxiety. © 2026 International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.
